In the Family Story, it is mentioned about the lattitudes of Purakkad and Kuravilangad that
“They likely passed through Purakkad (9.77°N) — a smaller west-coast port almost directly aligned in latitude with Kuravilangad (9.77°N).
In fact the lattitudes of Purakkad and Kuravilangad are not the same but slightly different.
The exact values are given below:
The exact latitude of Purakkad in Alappuzha District, Kerala, is 9.3491°
Latitude of Kuravilangad is: 9.758441°
Also it is unlikely that the migration of Sankarapuri forefathers took place via Purakkad. In those days the coastal line was passing through Thrupoonthura, Kaduthuruthi, Perunnai etc. And Kaduthuruthi was then a port.

Regarding Kaithavana short history, it is posted under Kannanthara. Though Kannanthara appears in the first paragraph, it is not clear how it is connected to Kaithavana.
Their early history narrates that in 835, Sankarapuri family migrated to Angmaly and in the 13th century they moved to Kuravilangad.
We believe Sankarapuri forefathers migrated to Kuravilangad in the first century itself.
So the Kaithavana short history confuses the reader.
It is suggested that short histories of moola kudumbams to start from their migration from Kuravilangad.
That way conflicting narrations and repetitions are avoided.

My family name is Nadayil, and from what I understand, my grandfather’s branch of the family originated from Thekke Kuriettu. He also told me that our family descends from the Sankarapuri lineage.
I am hoping to identify the missing link that connects the Nadayil family to the Sankarapuri family and to learn more about how these lineages are related. What you are doing is excellent work. I share your interest in this field. In our family, too, for the last 25 years, I have been hearing that the family history is being written. Nothing came out. So last year I started it. I want to write a truthful history. I collect the details of our ancestors who lived in 17/18 centuries from survey records kept in the central archives, from church records, local history books, contacting elders of our family. It is a tedious and time- consuming task. It is nearly complete now. As you said, the website is the right medium for propagating our history. What I understand is that printing involves money, and some people want to handle it. I suggest that you issue a set of guidelines about the short history that you are uploading. It must clearly state how it is connected to Sankarapuri. When it or its parent family left Kuravilangad, and from which family, etc. Another point is that each family need not write the common history of Sankarapuri. It will be repetitive and may lead to inconsistency. It must include its branches and localities where they mostly resided from the beginning of their individual history.
